Sam Hook League North Beach Yarmouth, Beaconsfield Road - Monday 10th November
A damp breezy South Westerly gave us the perfect conditions on an ebbing tide to continue the double figure catches. Unfortunately, the lack of tide at the start and weed near the end put paid to our great run. A handful of codling appeared but not enough to create the weights of previous matches. Another depleted turnout of 10 managed 183 fish which was 66 less than last match.
Continuing his podium form, Kevil “bassman” Chilvers (peg 13) took top honours with 9lb 9oz from 27 fish closely followed by Alan “chippy” Doy (3) with 9lb 2oz from 23 fish. Final podium slot went to Mark “the quiet one” Gooch (2) with 8lb 9oz from 23 fish.
Has the bubble burst at Gt. Yarmouth or was it just wrong place wrong tide. That we shall never know as we just have the Xmas Fayre at Pakefield for our last evening match of this campaign!!!
