A freezing South Westerly with the odd snow shower gave us the ideal conditions for some specimen fish to come out of this prime venue. As it happened the lack of tide became its undoing with fish at the start and at the end but a frozen barren period during the majority of the day. A couple of specimens appeared but nothing really serious from a reasonable turnout of 11 catching 213 fish which was 30 more than previous match.

With codling showing in numbers those who have the right bait and casting abilities will always score and this was shown to be true at this venue. Gary “big eels” Medler took top spot with 17lb 14 1/2oz from 21 fish including a share of heaviest flat & round (dab/codling) with 3 others. Second spot went to John “steady” Carter with 13lb 4oz from 13 fish including share of heaviest round (codling) followed by Paul “pakefied” Tovell with 11lb 7 1/2oz from 29 fish.

With just 2 winter matches left Kevil (145 points) still leads the way even after a faltering Orford performance, followed by Tony (139) and a closing Gary (137). Last match is the Xmas Fayre so please let Paul know if you will be at this match.
